Sunset, Spanish Banks

The night before the summer solstice, some colleagues from the UBC Farm gathered at the Spanish Banks on Jericho Beach to honor the longest day of the year, and watch the sunset over the whole city of glass, and the distant North Shore mountains. I spotted this lone bird, and thought it might be celebrating too.
